Morning swim and then… I’m well taken care of

Beautiful beach with surfers.

I swiftly got on the bus, it stopped the moment I arrived at the stop.

It’s extra hot for my temperament, and the road to my house is long and bumpy. Dogs jump out and bark at you like they want to kill you. So, despite being in paradise, there are a few discomforts that drain the life out of me. I hadn’t slept well in a week, but I knew that getting out of the house and being with the water and sand would refresh my energy. So, early morning it is! Because that’s the only time it’s cool enough to enjoy the beach (in an endless way).

Thank you! I reached to the sky thanking divine timing for not having to wait too long.

In the water, I moved slowly, woke up slowly. Started to dance with the waves up to my knees. This new guy I was interested in showed up. Hearing he is a big wave surfer, I was curious to watch him. I ended up with a front row seat! He quickly had clients from the surfing school he was a teaching at. Two boy about 10 years old. It was such a joy to watch him make them laugh in the water.

Sometimes, patience makes everything extra special. I told myself that one day I’ll rent one of those chair and umbrella setups to have shade when the sun gets too hot. The beach has very little shade. So, today, I gladly said yes to the man offering them. He gave me the chair that was at the foot of the water. And, I took the opportunity to trust my things would be watched over and start running down the beach! (Normally, I’d be carrying my things, so less freedom to move freely!) I danced back and forth, then lay down in the chair, feeling the salty air and watching the surf school lessons.

After 4 weeks of traveling solo, my body needed extra help to relax. After realizing that all week, I was looking for a place to get a massage (but trying to stay caution with my time and money), I saw that the massage had come to me. She gave me a full body massage on the beach chair. At this point, the waves had already reached our chair. So, I was practically in the ocean while getting a massage!

It was magical. I felt so taken care of. She left me with a few braids as a gift. And, I went home that night feeling the magic of just trusting my intuition to head to the beach, despite being tired that morning. Not all days feel fulfilling or nourishing. But, the ones that do, in the ways they do, always seem to balance things out.
